Is it possible?
The full strength Australian team humiliated English cricket in front of the cricket world by thumping them 5-0 in the Ashes.
Now that Australian cricket is at its worst level ever , can the England cricket team do the 5-0 bash on the Aussies themselves?
Wouldn’t that be a dream come true for them,?
If australia can beat a decent England team 5-0 why can’t this England team beat the present ordinary Australian team 5-0?

So you reckon Aussie cricket is at an all time low! What a bozo, I’m tipping you are about 16/17 years old, We are down, yes but nowhere near out, there are some selection issues that need to be ironed out, no Lee or Clarke either, I hope the pommies are over confident because they might get a huge shock !!! You muppet

The England team currently playing in the West Indies will NOT beat Australia 5-0. Even as the Australians rebuild after the Warne-McGrath and Hayden-Langer years, they have not yet fallen to such a low standard.
Remember that the Test series against South Africa was an exciting, closely fought, competitive series that SA won 2-1. Australia are not at such a low ebb as some people seem to think, but in the end it’s the lack of quality of the England team that’s going to be the reason they can’t whitewash the Aussies.
PS Sunday – England all out 51; WIndies win by an innings.
Still think they can win the Ashes back, let alone whitewash the Aussies?? I think NOT.

Well,
first off, Id say that you’re being a bit too harsh. Yes, Australia are down but they are not totally out of it. Lee, S. Clark, Symonds (etc) are all not playing so its really a depleted Australian team which the South Africans and the Kiwis are facing at the moment. Having said that though, Australia (in the tests) were pretty decent and got outplayed by the better team (South Africa).
As far as England is concerned, they dont have a quality team. Individual performances from Peitersen and Flintoff are too much. Their batting is not at its peak and neither is their bowling. Harmison and Flintoff shoulder the burden but are not consistently supported by Anderson. Another problem is that Monty hasnt been too successful in developing much variations to his spin.
To sum up: at the present rate it is hard to say that Australia will lose the Ashes 5-0:

England may reclaim the Ashes. But it is not going to be a whitewash. 2-1 to England, 2 draws.
Although the team touring the Caribbean fails to convince me that they are capable of beating Australia. And if England could pull it off against Australia, I think it is a safe bet to say West Indies could also beat Australia.

I feel that the English public seem to have quite a negative approach to their cricket team playing Australia. The Aussies have made them look so inept for so long that it is difficult to envisage a whitewash by them. I feel that the English cricket team should get rid of all the in-house problems and go out on to the field and put up an excellent performance if not a winning performance. Myself as a rabid England supporter living in Australia would just like them to make a worthy effort.

If some other team are on their worst team even Zimbabwe can beat them .But this is not applicable for Australia. But I feel England has a chance of winning the Ashes again. But make sure Collingwood get to form. Make sure all your Bowlers are on form and fir. Make sure Flintoff is not Injured
