Why fast bowlers don’t use Yorker as a major weapon in test cricket like Lasit Malinga?

because bowlers are taught to only bowl line and length. Most are not that quick and are scared of getting it slightly wrong. Pitches only help batsmen and bowlers are forced to bowl line and length to stem the flow of runs and bore the batsmen out.

It is not possible to bowl every ball a yorker.And if the bowlers will use it more frequently it will become more predictable delivery.

cause its take more effort and energy and in test every fast bowler have to bowled 18-22 over in a day.. and if any1 try to york and it gone as full toss it cost runs and that will be loss of effort and energy..so thats y most of bowler dosent try to york the ball,.

Mostly he has the Passion to ball Yokers.
in recent interviw, he says that he enjoys TEASING the batsmen like cat & Mouse game.
he followa Waqar cuz he can do it with affectiveness and most are not that quick and are scared of getting it slightly wrong.he further says yoker art needs physical satability all the while, which other asian bowlers lack.

Wasim Akram -one of the masters of yorkers said it takes a lot more EFFORT to bowl a yorker than a bouncer. Any decent bowler can produce a bouncer at will. Besides, you have to be more accurate with a yorker. A full toss will disappear where as even a bad bouncer may be a waste but not expensive

A slight error with a yorker and you have an over-pitched delivery driven for four. It takes guts and talent to bowl them regularly with effectiveness. Devastating when done well though. It’s great to see a bowler like Malinga doing it so effectively
