Don’t you think Test Cricket could be much better with some changes?
… asked:
I think if we limit the overs we can make Test cricket more interesting and have a result rather than draws. If you have an idea please post it.

I agree with you. One change we should implement is the margin of wides should be the same as ODIs.
In Test Matches we often see bowlers bowling wide outside offstump and down the leg side and the batsmen just lets it go, this make cricket really dull because there is no action.

I don’t agree simply because I don’t want to see anyone messing with the purest form of cricket. If you are a true fan of cricket, it will be interesting no matter how long it is. We have seen too many changes in cricket in the past two decades & I think we should just leave it alone for now. But a good Q, nonetheless.

I disagree with changing anything about the way test matches are formatted. What a lot of people fail to realise is that a draw is in fact a result. It may not be the desired results for everyone but none the less a result it is. The beauty of a test match is no matter how well placed a team looks anything can change dramatically within those 5 days. No I say leave it but this is only my personal opinion.

Test cricket is fine the way it is.
Perhaps a mandatory declaration at 600 is the only change I would make.

I don’t see why. It is the traditional form of cricket and should stay the way it is. I never get bored of watching cricket.

90 overs per day means 450 overs in a test, so maybe i would keep a reserve day to complete the overs lost due to rain or interruptions etc. during the course of 5 days and make sure we get full 450 overs!
