Do you watch Cricket matches even during the time of examinations?

*ѕнινα* crυiѕe тнroυgн asked:

Just wanted to know,Do u watch Cricket matches(if there are matches) even during the examination time?.(Students only). If yes, then has it affected your results anyway?
To others have you taken time off from busy office work schedules to get the updates on Cricket matches when it’s “strictly” office hours?

Iam a student BTW and I used to watch matches during exams too but I don’t think it has affected my results at all as I am managing with both well.
Though,I cut down on my time of watching matches during exams I never used to miss the action atleast for couple of hours when it’s an interesting match.

Please your views.

when i was in class 10 , i used to watch them as course was easy and more of cramming was required. last year, in class 12 th we didn’t have many important matches at that time, and now my sem exams are over, so i have no tension :-) ))))))))))

Yes, ” Book in one hand, T.V remote in other” :P

Actually cricket has really affected my lifestyle, schedule and studies. While any match is going on, I can’t really concentrate on studies. If mom won’t allow to sit on T.V I would use laptop and cell phone to know the updates. I would keep thinking about the questions to be asked on Y!A about that match. I would wake-up early and don’t even sleep if the match timings are such. During Pak-Aus series I took my cell phone to school in order to check latest scores. But unfortunately got caught and got penalized. My mom took the mobile and my good name in school got stain on it.

Unfortunately there would be T20I WC during my O level examination, this time it would be board exams. I am preparing myself to study without cricket.

BTW my first match is against England (English subject) held on 2 May at Karachi :P Pray for my success!

Till now I never had any ‘big’ examination and my dad believes in study well before exam, he will not lemme study till late a day before exam! So, he would tell me to go do some cooking or watch ‘cricket’ ! Strange, lol.

But when it is test match I have to compromise, then I just watch all overs that Vettori is bowling and then only when McCullum and Vettori are batting. Rest part I watch in highlights, but TV is still on till match is going on, I keep muting and turning it on. It is actually good idea cos I tell myself, I will learn this definition before Martin’s over ends and la, I’ve done…

The fact is, when I know I have to watch a match, I would study well before and complete all my homework and kitchen work so that it does not disturb me, because of that I come to know if I have any doubt and that gets solved cos its rude to call a friend a day before exam and ask her or him the doubts, might annoy. So cricket has helped me actually.

And it is fun when other commentators are there like Indians and English and that Pakistan fellow, their accent is so different that I try to copy and has helped me find what all vowels we Kiwis eat everyday, they all pronounce so differently!
